In short. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third-party server while you read it. The only place it collects anything is the form on the Collaborate page, and that only happens if you choose to fill it in and send it.
What this notice covers
This notice applies to kanyantamubanga.com, including
the project pages, articles, and the website demonstrations published
under
/demos/. It is written by Kanyanta Mubanga, who is the data
controller for anything described here.
It does not cover the two mobile apps. Those handle data differently and each has its own policy:
What this site does not do
Most privacy notices are long because most websites do a lot. This one is short because this site does very little. Specifically, it does not:
- set cookies, or store anything in your browser's local storage
- run analytics of any kind — there is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and no privacy-friendly alternative either
- use advertising, retargeting, or any cross-site tracking
- load fonts, scripts, images, or embeds from third-party servers. The typeface is served from this domain, so reading a page sends no request to anyone else
- embed videos, maps, social widgets, or comment systems
- build a profile of you, or ask you to create an account
Because nothing here needs your consent to run, there is no cookie banner to dismiss.
The contact form
The form on the Collaborate page is the only part of this site that collects personal information. It asks for:
- the kind of conversation you want to have (a fixed list of options)
- your name
- your email address
- your organization, which is optional
- your message
Nothing is collected until you press send, and nothing you type is stored or transmitted before then. Your details are never placed in the page address, so they cannot leak through a URL or a browser history entry.
Who handles it
The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, which passes your submission to my email inbox. Web3Forms receives the fields listed above, and — as with any request made over the internet — the network address your browser sent it from. It acts as a processor on my behalf. Web3Forms publishes its own privacy policy and terms at web3forms.com.
The form also contains a hidden field that real people never see or fill in. It exists only to catch automated spam, and it collects nothing about you.
Why, and for how long
Your message is used for one purpose: to read it and reply to you. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not sold, rented, or shared with anyone else.
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, the lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — where you are writing about possible work, and Article 6(1)(f), my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me, for everything else.
Inquiries stay in my email account for as long as they are useful: while we are talking, and afterwards as a record of work discussed or agreed. If you would like your message deleted sooner, ask and I will delete it.
Hosting and server logs
The site is static and hosted by Hostinger. Like any web server, theirs keeps standard access logs of the requests it serves, which typically include the requesting network address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are created and retained by the host as part of running and securing the server. I do not use them to identify or track visitors, and there is no separate log or database of my own behind this site.
Links to other places
Pages here link out to the App Store, Google Play, social profiles, WhatsApp, and the live Wayne Zambia website. Those are ordinary links — nothing loads from them until you click — but once you arrive, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy of it. In practice the only thing I am likely to hold is an email you sent me, so these requests are usually simple to answer.
To exercise any of them, email reachkanyanta@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
This site is aimed at a professional audience and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no archive of earlier versions; the current page is always the one that applies.
